JOB DESCRIPTION: 
HayPass is looking for a proactive and skilled Cybersecurity Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security systems and infrastructure across our IT environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in threat mitigation, network security, endpoint protection, and secure system architecture.
They will work closely with the IT, DevOps, and Compliance teams to ensure that all systems are hardened against cyber threats and aligned with internal security policies and regulatory requirements. This role is critical for securing and monitoring the organization’s IT infrastructure across both on-premises and virtual environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
- Build and maintain security systems;
- Conduct security architecture reviews and recommend enhancements;
- Review & implement network and system security measures (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection);
- Assist in internal and external penetration testing efforts;
- Conduct security awareness training and promote a security-first culture.
Log Management
- Configure and maintain a centralized log collection across servers, firewalls, routers, and applications;
- Ensure compliance and retention policies are followed for all critical system logs;
- Generate reports and dashboards for audit, compliance, and operational visibility.
System Security & Hardening
- Follow system hardening best practices to Windows and Linux environments;
- Recommend Patch and systems update regularly; manage endpoint protection tools and malware defenses;
- Manage user access controls, group policies, and privilege escalation procedures.
Network & Security
- Configure and manage multi-layer firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS);
- Monitor and secure LAN/WAN infrastructure including switches and routers;
- Assist in segmenting networks to reduce lateral movement and improve incident containment.
Infrastructure
- Monitor virtual machine snapshots, templates, and access controls for security risks.
- Work with IT infrastructure teams to ensure proper network segmentation and virtualization isolation.
Compliance & Policy Enforcement
- Support audits and risk assessments by providing evidence, reports, and remediation plans.
- Enforce internal cybersecurity policies, standards, and best practices.
-Maintain documentation of security procedures, incident reports, and architecture diagrams.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Security, or related fields
-3–5+ years in cybersecurity engineering, systems security, or network security.
-Experience with SIEM tools (ELK, Splunk, QRadar, etc.) and endpoint protection platforms.
-Strong understanding of TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and proxy technologies.
-Experience with vulnerability management tools (e.g., Cyberwatch, Tenable, Qualys).
-Scripting/automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
-Proficiency in both Windows and Linux administration and security.
-Good understanding knowledge of virtualization: VMware vSphere/ESXi, Microsoft Hyper-V.
-Experience in incident response planning and penetration testing.
-Experience on tools such as: Nessus, Wireshark, Nmap, PowerShell, Bash, GPO
-Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g. GDPR, ISO 27001, CIS, NIST).
-Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+, OSCP) are a plus.
