JOB DESCRIPTION: 
Currently Action Against Hunger South Caucasus has an opening for a full-time position for a Logistician in its Yerevan office in Armenia.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Management of Base logistics activities
Supply line:
- Ensuring compliance with AAH procedures at each stage of the supply chain;
- Performance in respect of costs, quality and timeliness in the supply chain (purchasing,
transport, stock);
- Advice, follow up information sharing on the processing of requests to the requesters;
- Comprehensive knowledge of the market;
- Prepare procurement and supply plans with the technical teams;
- Receiving and approving the Procurement Requests (PL’s);
- Utilize LINK software for efficient procurement processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services;
- Negotiation and selection of suppliers;
- Ensure that the orders & services are followed up;
- Controlling deliveries to the Base and program site;
- Controlling stock management (storage conditions, reporting, expiry dates) and stock movements;
- Collecting and analyzing data on the market and local suppliers;
- Ensure the proper filing and archiving of logistic documents in Teams;
- Prepare logistic documents for audit.
Vehicles park and equipment:
- Plan and coordinate the use of vehicles for staff and visitors;
- Supervision of the Fleet management: maintenance, movement planning, monitoring costs and resource consumption, tools, administrative aspects, like insurance, documentation and taxi companies.
Manage the equipment and inventory:
- Ensure proper use and follow-up of equipment/inventory (including donations, inventories, ID cards, codification, labelling, allocation follow-up);
- Ensure installation, maintenance and repairs of the equipment;
- Regular update the equipment and inventory lists.
Office and guesthouse/accommodation management:
- Ensure that the structures necessary for the base to function are restored and maintained - offices, programs, premises, warehouse;
- Supervise the renovation and maintenance of structures needed for the functioning of expats houses/apartments or guesthouses;
- Organize accommodation for HQ visitors;
- Organize accommodation in the fields for the mission staff.
Reports:
- Compile the monthly log reports with all required annexes;
- Follow up office running costs, monitor carbon footprint monitoring and its improvement.
Ensure the proper use and archiving of logistic documents
- Archiving all logistic files (digital in Teams and physical);
- Handling and storing the archiving boxes of other departments.
Participate in the Security Management of the base
- Participate in collecting and analyzing information from different stakeholders/sources and inform Head of Base;
- Follow the process of updating the base security plan on a regular basis and contribute to the annual Risk Response Plan exercise;
- Ensure that the security rules stated in the security guidelines are respected by all the staff;
- Follow the movements;
- Report to the Head of Base and Logistics Coordinator any security incidents and ensure prompt registration on Security Incident Reporting Tool (People Security);
- Support in practical security arrangements (vehicles, office, first aid kit).
Supervise Logistics team
- Draw up work plans;
- Delegate the activities and check that they are properly and timely executed;
- Organize regular team meetings to plan and coordinate;
- Carry out appraisal interviews;
- Provide technical support to the team if necessary.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
- University degree or technical diploma in a relevant field;
- Background in logistics;
- Knowledge of procurement roles and procedures;
- Experience in implementing grant programmes;
- Excellent diplomatic, communication and negotiation skills;
- Good human relations, diplomacy, organizational and facilitation skills, interest and capacity in learning;
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Logistics in a similar context;
- Experience working in the humanitarian/development sector and multi-ethnic context is a plus;
- Armenian and English fluency; Russian is an asset;
- Excellent Computer skills including proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel etc.);
- Flexible with respect to working hours and place of work;
- Valuable prior experience in issues related to the promotion of gender equality or personal commitment to gender equality;
- Take proactive measures to ensure a safe and supportive environment by preventing sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA).
