ОПИСАНИЕ ДОЛЖНОСТИ
: 
The American Chamber of Commerce in Armenia (AmCham) is pleased to invite applications for the position of Policy Advisor. This is a full-time, permanent role suited for a motivated, detail-oriented, and policy-driven professional eager to contribute to the development of Armenia’s business environment through strategic policy engagement and effective stakeholder coordination.
ОБЯЗАННОСТИ
: 
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Policy Advisor will:
- Effectively coordinate the monthly meetings of 4 AmCham Committees, including Digital Transformation Committee, Legal and Tax Committee, Sustainable Development Committee, Education and Workforce Development Committee, prepare meeting minutes, agendas and monitor daily activities;
- Ensure the effective implementation of the objectives of the Committees in accordance with planning, control, monitoring, and reporting; ensure that all activities/events are prepared on a timely manner and implemented in accordance with expected results and objectives;
- Facilitate regular policy dialogue with the RA Government, National Assembly, associations, international organizations and other key stakeholders and facilitate technical assistance to the Committees and recommend to the RA Government to develop/modify policies and regulatory instruments in close cooperation with Committee Chairs.
- Liaise between the Government and the Committees, lobby to highlight gaps in legislation, conduct policy dialogue, and work on opportunities to issue a final document;
- Maintain written and oral communication between Committee members in English and Armenian as needed.
- Facilitate the implementation of the priorities of the Committees and ensure appropriate efficiency,
- Proactively inform the members of the Committees about all the developments taking place in the respective fields, collect and analyze their opinions,
- Coordinate the internal discussions and developments of the Committees, including analytical documents, changes and recommendations in legislative and regulatory acts, announcements, as well as social media and mass media engagement together with the AmCham team.
- Organize meetings with stakeholders and other relevant parties, highlighting the priorities of the Committees;
- Prepare the key topics of the meeting with stakeholders for AmCham and Board of Directors;
- Present and voice the position of the Committees at meetings with stakeholders,
- Promote/ensure (social media, mailing, etc.) proper communication about the work of the Committees to the Board of Directors, current and future members of AmCham, in collaboration with the team,
- Identify needs for external consulting services within the assigned scope of activities and work closely with parties to engage experts/consultants.
- Coordinate relations, policies, and effective cooperation between AmCham and the public sector, international organizations, associations, adhering to the AmCham vision, goals, and strategy.
- Assist the CEO in preparing monthly Board meetings as needed.
- Participate in the development of the AmCham strategy and develop the two-year advocacy plan with the assistance of the Executive Director.
- Participate in monthly Board meetings with other representatives of the AmCham team.
- Implement tasks assigned by the Executive Director.
ТРЕБУЕМАЯ КВАЛИФИКАЦИЯ
: 
- Master’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, International Relations, Public Policy, Economics, Law, or related field.
- Proven analytical and research skills, with the ability to assess complex policy issues, formulate solutions, and develop evidence-based recommendations.
- Solid understanding of key policy domains such as trade, commerce, taxation, regulatory affairs, digital transformation, and intellectual property.
- Strong knowledge of Armenian legal and regulatory frameworks relevant to business and public policy.
- Prior experience in government affairs, policy development, or advocacy, ideally within governmental bodies, non-profit organizations, or the private sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft high-quality reports, policy papers, and briefings, and to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and networking skills to build productive relationships with government representatives, industry leaders, and policy experts.
- Competence in data interpretation and analysis to support and justify policy positions and recommendations.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to translate ideas into actionable policy solutions.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented, multicultural environment.
- Flexibility and adaptability in response to evolving policy priorities and external developments.
- Experience in public affairs, lobbying, or stakeholder engagement is an asset.
- Fluency in both English and Armenian (written and spoken) is essential.
- Capacity to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Experience working in multinational or cross-sectoral environments is highly desirable.
